Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal data — in plain English.
This Privacy Policy explains how SimpleScale collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us or use our services. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Irish data protection law.
1. Who we are
SimpleScale is an organic social media marketing agency for football coaches and academies, based in Ireland. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.
- Business: SimpleScale
- Address: 32 Farney Park, Sandymount, Dublin 4, Ireland
- Email: Admin@simplescale.net
If you have any questions about this policy or about how we use your data, please contact us at Admin@simplescale.net.
2. What data we collect
We only collect the personal data we need in order to respond to you and provide our services. This includes:
- Information you submit through our website contact form — your name, email address and the content of the message you send us.
- Information you share when you contact us via WhatsApp or Instagram — your contact details (such as your phone number, profile name or handle) and the content of the messages you send us.
- Client information — if you become a client, the details we need to deliver our services, such as social media account information you choose to share with us and the footage and materials you send us for editing and publishing.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not send us sensitive personal information through these channels.
3. How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and answer your questions;
- provide, manage and deliver our services to you;
- communicate with you about your account, content and work in progress; and
- keep appropriate records of our communications and agreements.
Our legal bases for processing this data are: your consent (for example, when you choose to contact us), the performance of a contract with you (when we provide our services), and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business — balanced against your rights.
4. WhatsApp, Instagram and Meta platforms
We use WhatsApp Business and other Meta platforms (including Instagram) to communicate with prospects and clients. When you message us through these platforms, your data is also processed by Meta in line with Meta's own terms and privacy policies, over which we have no control.
We only use the information you share with us via WhatsApp or Instagram to respond to you and to provide our services. We do not use it for unrelated purposes. We recommend you also review Meta's and WhatsApp's privacy policies to understand how they handle your data on their platforms.
5. We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data for third-party advertising.
6. Sharing your data
We only share your personal data where necessary to run our business and deliver our services — for example, with trusted service providers who help us operate (such as our website host and the platforms we use to communicate and publish content). These providers process data on our behalf and are required to keep it secure. We may also disclose data where we are required to do so by law.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy — for example, to respond to your enquiry, to provide our services, and to meet any legal or record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need your data, we delete it or anonymise it securely.
8. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. While no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, we work to protect your information at all times.
9. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request that we delete your data (the right to erasure);
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- request portability of the data you provided to us; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at Admin@simplescale.net and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
10. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use only what is strictly necessary to serve the site and keep it secure and working. If we add any analytics or non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent where required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
